Cookies vs. local storage

SauceSweet does not currently set any cookies. We use your browser's local storage — a similar but separate technology that never leaves your device — to remember two things: your light/dark theme choice and your saved Favorites.

Name	Type	Purpose	Duration
saucesweet-theme	Local storage	Remembers light or dark mode	Until cleared by you
saucesweet-favorites	Local storage	Remembers saved articles	Until cleared by you

If advertising is added later

If SauceSweet adds display advertising (for example, through Google AdSense), that network may set its own cookies to serve and measure ads. This page will be updated first to name the provider, the cookies it sets, and how to opt out, before any such cookie is active.

Managing local storage

You can clear local storage for this site at any time through your browser's site settings; this removes your saved theme and Favorites.
